Role: Crew Member

Reporting to: Centre Manager

Pay: £12.55 per hour

Hours: Full and part-time contracts available

The Role:

We are looking for a full-time Crew Member to fulfill up to 40 hours per week to support the day-to-day running of the center. The ideal candidate will have management potential and will receive Duty Manager training while on the job, allowing them to gain experience while covering stand-in shifts. Plus, we have an ambitious growth plan that will provide significant opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities:

As a Crew Member at The Font, you will have one main goal – Delivering exceptional customer experiences. We’d expect this to include responsibilities for:

• Providing exceptional customer service in all areas (reception, café, climbing, and fitness).
• Dealing with customer queries via phone, email, and social media.
• Dealing with Health & Safety, cleaning & maintenance requirements of the center.
• Running customer induction and introduction sessions (training provided).
• Use of visitor & member management software.

Essential Skills:

• Customer focused.
• Experience working in a customer service role.

Desirable Skills:

• Good knowledge of climbing best practice and current industry standards.
• Experience working within a climbing or gym environment.
• Experience working in food & bev environments (particularly with specialty coffee).

The Role: Personal Trainer/Gym Instructor

• Reporting to: Gym Manager or Head of Fitness
• Pay: Self Employed/competitive class rate
• Hours: Full-time or part-time positions available

The Role for GYM INSTRUCTOR AT BOROUGH:

• Exercise Instruction: Provide expert guidance and instruction on conventional weightlifting, free weights, and all other aspects of a well-rounded personal training session.
• Member Engagement: Build strong relationships with members, ensuring they have a positive and effective fitness experience, whether in a class or a PT session.
• Safety: Maintain a safe training environment, educate members on proper exercise techniques, and ensure safe equipment usage.
• Nutritional Guidance: Offer basic nutritional advice and encourage members to maintain a well-balanced diet.

The Role for PERSONAL TRAINER AT BOROUGH:

• Personalised Training: Design and implement individualized fitness programs based on the unique goals and needs of our members.
• Exercise Instruction: Provide expert guidance and instruction on conventional weightlifting, free weights, and all other aspects of a well-rounded personal training session.
• Member Engagement: Build strong relationships with members, ensuring they have a positive and effective fitness experience, whether in a class or a PT session.
• Safety: Maintain a safe training environment, educate members on proper exercise techniques, and ensure safe equipment usage.
• Nutritional Guidance: Offer basic nutritional advice and encourage members to maintain a well-balanced diet.

Qualifications for GYM INSTRUCTOR AT BOROUGH:

• Minimum Level 2 in Gym Instructing for delivering classes
• Proven experience in gym instruction, with expertise in free weights and functional fitness training.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.

Qualifications FOR PERSONAL TRAINER AT BOROUGH

• Minimum Level 2 in Gym Instructing for delivering classes and Level 3 Personal Training qualification for PT sessions.
• Proven experience in personal training and gym instruction, with expertise in free weights and functional fitness training.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification is a plus.

Location:

• We are recruiting for Fitness Instructor at The Font Borough

• All trainers are self-employed and rent gym space from The Font.

Role: Sales& Memberships Associate

Reporting to: Head of Operations

Hours: 40 hours per week.

Location: Hybrid (remote and on The Font sites)

Responsibilities: As the Sales & Membership Manager at The Font, you will be responsible for nurturing prospective customers into regular climbers, and managing the administration around sales, booking, and scheduling across The Font’s products:

●Managing The Font’s sales pipeline for all product types (e.g. memberships, coaching, group bookings, etc).

●Using all customer communication channels (call, SMS, and email) to ensure leads are progressed efficiently.

●Managing group booking administration (e.g. schools, corporates, private hire, etc).

●Manage attendance and sales output from key seasonal sales events (in particular, University welcome weeks)

●Gather insight on member cancellations.

●Manage re-activation communications.

●Maintaining regular contact with corporate & group booking customers.

●Triaging coaching requests.

●Managing coaching availability& scheduling.

●Managing coaching booking &payment administration.

●Customer Service: Friendly, approachable, and attentive to customer needs and inquiries.

●Product Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Font’s services, products, and facilities.

●Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.

We are seeking climbing coaches, we have a variety of part time contracted and zero hours positions avaliable at Borough and Wandsworth.

Pay rates start from £15.10 up to to £25 per hour. Training is provided for all positions.
